When we first acquired Warren Jeff’s old mansion it needed a lot of renovation. What once was a place that evoked bad memories for people in the Short Creek Community was being transformed and re-imagined into a place of hope and healing. Adopt-A-Room was one of the ways we were able to achieve that transformation. Today, because of people coming together to make it possible, the mansion is now a Residential Support Center.
We opened the 44-bedroom mansion to the community and invited the public to come adopt a room. Adopt-A-Room gave people a chance to come stay with us, re-imagine, renovate, and design a room. We had individuals, families, churches, and other groups come from all over the country to make this possible. The outcome was nothing short of amazing.
